Overview
Products let you sell things alongside your classes - one-to-one sessions, workshops, merchandise, gift vouchers, digital guides, and anything else your clients might want to buy. They appear on your HeyBookMe booking page and customers pay for them via Stripe at checkout, just like a class booking.
Every plan can create products with a name, description, image, price and more. On the Pro plan you also get advanced features - attaching downloadable files and showing post-purchase content to buyers.
Creating a product

Go to Products > Products and click "Add product".

Enter a name. This is what clients see when browsing your products, e.g. "1:1 Personal Training - Single session".

Add a description. Optional, but recommended. Use the rich-text editor to explain what the product is and sell its value to the customer.

Upload an image. Optional. A photo or logo helps the product stand out on your booking page.

Set the price. This is what clients pay to purchase the product. Note: Products on the PAYG plan have a minimum price of £1. There is no minimum price on Pro plans.

Assign categories. Optional. Categories make it easier for clients to filter and find products on your booking page.

Set a purchase end date. Optional. This is the last date and time the product will be available to purchase - useful for limited offers. Leave it blank to keep the product available indefinitely.

Click "Create product". It will appear on your booking page immediately.
Editing and removing products
From the Products area you can edit any product to update its details, or remove it. Editing the price or details affects how the product appears going forward; it doesn't change anything for customers who have already bought it.
Viewing product purchases
To see who has bought your products, go to Customer purchases > Products. From there you can review individual purchases and the customer they belong to.
Advanced product features
Pro plan feature. The Pro plan extends product sales to include downloadable files, post-purchase content and private products. Start a free 14-day trial to get access.
On the Pro plan, an Advanced section appears at the bottom of the product editor with three extra options.
Post-purchase information
Add content that's shown to the customer immediately after they buy, and included in their confirmation email. Use it to deliver instructions, a welcome message, a discount code, a meeting link, or whatever the customer needs next. Leave it blank to omit it.
Downloadable files
Attach files customers can download after purchasing - perfect for digital products like guides, plans or worksheets.

Click "Add file" and choose the file to upload. Accepted formats are PDF, DOC(X), XLS(X) and images, up to 5MB per file and up to 5 files per product.

Give each file a title. Optional. This is the label the customer sees for the download.

Set how long downloads are available for. Enter a number and choose a unit (e.g. 7 days). After this period from the date of purchase, the download links stop working.
Private products
The private product feature lets you hide a product from the product listings on your hosted or embedded booking widget. The product is only available directly on its URL. Private products are perfect for offering special-offers to select customers, or giving access to products through specific channels (mailing lists / social media campaigns etc).
To make a product private simply check the Private Product checkbox when editing a product. If you're creating a new product, you'll be provided with the private URL to share with your selected clients after saving the product for the first time. If you're making an existing product private, the URL will be shown just below the Private Product checkbox when editing the product.
Private products are marked in the product list with a small padlock icon () and clicking on the padlock will also give you the private product's URL.
Common questions
How do customers buy a product?
Products appear on your HeyBookMe booking page - whether you're using the hosted booking site, or embedding in your own website. Products live in their own "Products" tab. Customers add a product to their order and pay via Stripe at checkout. The purchase is recorded against their account straight away.
Do I need Stripe connected to sell products?
Yes. Products are paid for online, so you'll need a connected Stripe account to take payment. See connecting Stripe.
Can I sell digital downloads on the PAYG plan?
Downloadable files and post-purchase content are Pro plan features. On the PAYG plan you can still create and sell products with a name, description, image and price - you just won't have the advanced options. Start a free 14-day Pro trial to unlock them.
What happens to downloads after the availability period ends?
Download links stop working once the period you set (counted from the date of purchase) has passed. The customer keeps their post-purchase information and confirmation email, but can no longer download the attached files.
Can I offer free products?
Our Pro plan supports free products. Clients buy from you as normal, but won't be required to provide payment details to complete their order. Free products are not support on the PAYG plan. Products on the PAYG plan have a minimum price of £1.
